Oculogica SNAP
Backburner Labs played a critical role in the comprehensive engineering development of the SNAP portable concussion diagnosis device. Leveraging our established expertise from previous work on Oculogica's EyeBOX concussion diagnostic system, our electrical engineering team designed the sophisticated signal processing and data acquisition systems required to capture precise pupil dynamics and eye movement patterns in response to visual stimuli.
We also designed a robust mechanical housing that packages the complex optical, electronic and battery components into a portable, field-ready device weighing under 2 pounds. Our mechanical design expertise ensured the SNAP could withstand the demanding environmental conditions of roadside and sporting event use while maintaining the precision required for accurate biometric measurements.
